CSM Rosvelt Martain – Army Quartermaster Foundation, Inc.

Command Sergeant Major Rosvelt Martain is a native of Pomoria, South Carolina. He holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Social Science. In 1986, he was selected to serve as the first Quartermaster Corps Regimental Command Sergeant Major. He enlisted in the United States Army in 1952, attended Basic Combat Training at Fort Jackson, South Carolina and Advanced Individual Training at Fort Gordon, Georgia. His service spanned 35 years of career building assignments in several military occupational specialties, including Quartermaster, Signal, Infantry and Field Artillery. His assignments include: 2nd Infantry Division in Korea; 2nd Armored Division at Fort Hood, Texas; 10th Artillery Battalion at Fort Benning, Georgia; 1st Cavalry Division in Korea; 3rd Armored Division in Germany; 4th Advance Training Brigade at the United States Training Center at Fort Jackson, South Carolina; Eighth Army/ US Forces Nations Command/Combined Forces Command in Korea and United States Army Quartermaster Center and School, Fort Lee, Virginia. In addition, he saw action in combat while serving with 2nd Field Force in the Republic of Vietnam.
