Army Quartermaster Foundation, Inc

Each year the Army Quartermaster Museum hosts hundreds of local school children to participate in educational activities that utilize museum exhibits and facilities to further their attainment of state mandated standards of learning. For the most part artifacts at the museum are acquired through donations made by private individuals or Government/military agencies. In many cases these artifacts require some form of restoration, repair or preservation prior to being displayed in a gallery. Facilities Expansion and Upgrade – The Army Quartermaster Museum was built with private and Quartermaster Foundation funds and over the years the museum has been able to expand its building and facility primarily through the efforts of the Quartermaster Foundation since these funds are usually not available through Government appropriations. The Army Quartermaster Foundation makes a significant contribution that helps to maintain the Museum’s reputation as one of the top facilities in the military museum system.
Our Board of Directors extends an open invitation to all Quartermasters and Friends of the Quartermaster Corps to join us in helping to preserve a top rated museum with first class programs. Whether it is contributions of your time, your talents, or your treasures (hopefully all three), your Army Quartermaster Foundation needs every Quartermaster or Friend of the Corps to do whatever you are able. Remember, it’s your museum, and it’s your story. But don’t take our word for it. Come visit your museum, and see for yourself. You won’t be disappointed. In fact you’ll be amazed. By the way, if you let us know when you’re coming to visit, we will arrange a personal tour just for you and your party.

A Special Message from the Foundation President
In January we lost a great Quartermaster, our beloved President-Emeritus COL Bob Barrett

Bob distinguished himself as a Regular Army Quartermaster for thirty years followed by continued service to the Nation as a Department of the Army Contractor and finally as a Volunteer Soldier for Life participating in and leading a variety of civic and charitable organizations.
Elected to the AQF Board of Directors in 1992, he served continuously for the next 30 years including five years as Vice-President and ten as President. At the time of his death, he was still an active director holding the title of President-Emeritus.
Many foundation members have made donations in Bob’s memory as his family requested in his obituary. As a tribute to him, the foundation officers are directing all donations made in his memory to be deposited into our charitable trust fund as he would have wanted.
